What we found
This roof had extensive organic growth, including heavy moss around the dormers and dark staining across the shingles. During the project, we also found missing shingles, deteriorated vent-pipe boots, popped nails, and flashing areas that needed maintenance.
What Veterans Vision completed
- 01Roof soft washing
We treated the organic growth with a low-pressure roof soft wash. Cleaning addressed the moss and staining as part of the overall roof-care scope.
- 02Shingle and pipe-boot replacement
We replaced the missing shingles and deteriorated vent-pipe boots identified during the job.
- 03Flashing and nail maintenance
We addressed the popped nails and sealed the flashing areas requiring attention with silicone sealant.
- 04Roof Savers preservation
After the cleaning and maintenance work, we applied Roof Savers’ Renueit®17 preservation treatment for ongoing roof protection.
The result
The supplied before-and-after photos show a substantial improvement in the roof’s appearance. Beyond cleaning, the project addressed the missing shingles, worn pipe boots, flashing maintenance, and popped nails before the preservation treatment was applied.
Cleaning, repairs, and preservation serve different purposes. Soft washing treats organic growth; repairs address identified defects; preservation is a separate option for suitable shingles. The right scope starts with an assessment of the individual roof.
